I've been reading quite a few books - most recently about young, sexy women wearing trench coats and slaying big, bad vampires. My question is this, if you live in the south how in holy hell are you going to blend in? I mean, lets face it except for a few rare occasions (i.e., Halloween), a heavy leather trench coat is just overkill.
Maybe I could write up a character that insists on wearing those giant derby hats. After all, as big as some of those things are, you could hide an entire vampire killing arsenal while still looking dainty and demure.
Maybe that's why my books haven't been published. Oh well, back to the drawing board (but I still think the derby hat idea would be hilarious).
